Our knowledge of how fine hand clothing is made, under standing its start to finish assembly process, our fitting skills, fabric expertise and dedication to every client will truly put you at ease. We will glide you through the complete extensive fabric collection, asking important questions along the way to determine best fabric weights, patterns and explain their different qualities to you. Offering you suggestions for wardrobe planning, future special occasions or important up coming meetings; not to mention great travel or resort clothing ideas for you. As we have said many times, “you can purchase what we sell at the finest stores in America – but if you do, you don’t get us”, let us overwhelm you…
First Fitting Process:
Eleven (11) exacting coat measurements are noted; more importantly,
precision care is taken to match shoulder and neck alignment as well as
posture which are critical in dictating the balance of the coat. There
are also ten (10) accurate trouser measurements, most crucial is the
front & back rise measurement along with the hip alignment for
proper balance. Together these will ensure you the most comfortable and
superbly fitting garments you have ever had!
Final Fitting and Delivery Process:
Once your order is submitted to Oxxford, allow about six to seven weeks for completion. A week prior to us receiving your garment, arrangements (appointment) will be made to personally set up a final fitting with you. Normally are final fitting requires sleeve and trouser length only, as we have already taken the most detailed measurements prior. Any adjustments made will be noted on your order so when you place another order, it will be entirely finished by Oxxford… Upon our return, garments are given to our master custom tailor of 39 years experience to be hand sewn, finished, pressed and thoroughly inspected right down to the working buttonholes. To make certain; we then re-inspect and carefully pack in a beautiful Oxxford garment cover before shipping back to you. Very rarely is a third fitting necessary, if so we are at your call.
About Us
Bob Campbell and Steve Castellucci owners/partners of Direct Clothiers, Inc. bring you more than seventy years combined experience in the fine men’s tailored clothing business. Prior to starting Direct Clothiers March 2000, we both worked at the original Bullock & Jones store in San Francisco for fourteen years. Bob was the clothing buyer, clothing manager, head of tailor shop and Steve was manager of the custom department, additionally the lead salesman until their doors closed February 19, 2000.
